The beaches were pristine/stunning/breathtaking, the food was delicious/scrumptious/divine, and we even managed to/found time for/got lucky with a hiking adventure.

This trip, while fine, just doesn't measure up to the memories/excitement/pure joy I felt on my last/previous/other vacation. I'm sure there are amazing adventures to come.

Wandering I'm Charting (On Purpose)

There's a certain freedom that comes with knowing you aren't just wandering aimlessly. It's about embracing the unknown, trusting your instincts and letting curiosity be your compass. Sure, there might be moments of doubt, but those are just reminders to pivot.

The real joy is in each step, not the destination. It's about learning something new about yourself. When you're truly exploring, you realize that sometimes getting turned around is exactly how you discover what you're looking for.

Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry Abroad

Being lost in a new country is always an adventure, but sometimes those adventures can take a turn for the worse when your stomach starts to growl. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement during exploring {astrange land and forget about the most basic needs like food. This often leads to irritability, which can lead to some less than charming behavior.

I've definitely learned this the hard way on several. One moment I was excited about tasting a local delicacy, and the next I was arguing with my travel companions because I hadn't eaten in hours. It's not exactly a behavior I'm proud of, but it just goes to show that even the most social traveler can turn into a ravenous monster when they're hungry.

So, if you ever find yourself abroad and starting to feel hangry, my advice is to find some food immediately. It might be the difference between having a amazing trip and one that ends with some embarrassing moments.

  • Bring a travel pillow and an eye mask in your bag.
  • Find serene spots in gardens.
  • Set boundaries with your friends about nap time.
